Composition in Urban Sketches. We will talk about laying out an adventure on a spread with text.
If you are a paying Patron, it is part of your membership.

Some may change and right now, I plan for my Patrons to attend any workshop free of charge and non-patrons (limited to 10 per workshop) will pay a fee.

Workshop Madness!

I am doing a workshop at PLAZA Artist Materials April 19th kicking off our Urban Sketching Topics series: Simplify the Structure: Quick sketching complex scenes with Christina Wald

Sometimes it is overwhelming to figure out where to start when drawing a complex cityscape, building, or interior. The workshop will have tips and demos for sketching on the go.

As part of out May the Fourth annual Star Wars tribute show, we are teaming up with the Cincinnati Public Library not only to do a kids fan art show but to also do a series of How to Draw Star Wars Workshops!

Final Taos Sketchbook Post

Two fighting/playing dogs. The little one reminds me of my in-laws' fox terrier Angie.

This is the final Taos post. As I mentioned earlier, I plan to go to the sketch journal workshop in Ireland next year. Until then, I will have to sketch here and on our trip to Boston and Vermont in August.

Some visiting art teachers suggested painting with wine. Maybe it has to sit out for a long time...

On our way to the Denver airport, we stopped in Colorado Springs to see the Garden of the Gods and ran into a lot of these Scrub Jays. Sadly, the fires got really bad right after we left in CO.
